Welcome to the virtual home of the Let CP Kids Learn Project

I am excited to have you visit and I hope you enjoy spending time with us.

The first question I will answer is, what is CP?

CP is the acronym for Cerebral Palsy- A condition that refers to a group of disorders that occur as a result of damage primarily to the MUSCLE control centres of the developing brain either during pregnancy, delivery or shortly after birth up to the first three years of life.

About 1 in every 10 children born in Nigeria today is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.

This number seems shocking to most and the usual question is ‘where are they?’

The Let CP Kids Learn Project aims to answer this question by helping to increase enrolment rates of Children with Cerebral Palsy in mainstream schools as early as possible thereby providing visibility, integration and most importantly,  The basic educational tools that will enable these children and their family members and carers lead more productive lives.

We believe that every child can learn and should be given a chance to do so irrespective of the manifestations of Cerebral Palsy.
